IP/WiFi Cameras
There's many different types of camera's available today and some of those are IP and WiFi camera's. IP cameras are typically wired with Cat5/6 cable and generally provide more features than the traditional analogue cameras and have better picture quality, they can also use PoE (Power over Ethernet) which can reduce the cost of materials and labour. Cameras can also be set up wirelessly now through the WiFi signal however will still need a power source, these cameras aren't as reliable as wired cameras as they need a WiFi signal to work but they are a handy way to get cameras to more remote locations.
Analogue Cameras
Analogue cameras are still around today and are constantly improving, though not as impressive as an IP camera they still do a more than adequate job and are generally quite a bit cheaper to install, especially on large surveillance systems with more cameras.
